Who we are

Devon Removals operates devonremovals.uk and provides removals services across Devon and internationally. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at hello@devonremovals.uk.

What we collect

When you submit the quote form we collect:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The pickup address
• The drop-off address
• Your moving date, if you give one
• Anything you write in the notes field

We also receive standard technical information that your browser sends — IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited — through our analytics and security tooling.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to survey and price the move, to carry it out if you book, and to keep records of work we have done. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the business.

Who sees it

Our own staff, and the systems we use to manage enquiries and moves. For international moves, the information necessary for customs and delivery is shared with the customs agents, shipping lines and destination partners handling your consignment — that sharing is unavoidable if you want your belongings to clear a border.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to unrelated companies for marketing.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to understand how pages are used, and Google reCAPTCHA on the quote form to block automated submissions. Both are provided by Google and set their own cookies, governed by Google's privacy terms. The content pages on this site run no other third-party tracking.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept only while they are commercially useful and then deleted. Records of completed moves are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, insurance and legal purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict that use. Email hello@devonremovals.uk and we will deal with it.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
